What is TSTET 2024?

The Department of School Education, Government of Telangana, administers the Telangana State Teachers Eligibility Test (TSTET). TSTET is held once a year. Notification for TSTET has been issued to determine the eligibility of primary teachers for Telangana’s government’s Zila Parishad, aided unaided and private schools.

The TSTET is divided into two levels: level 1 and level 2. Candidates who pass the level 1 test are hired as primary teachers (classes 1-5), while those who pass the level 2 exam are hired as upper primary teachers (classes 6-8) in Telangana’s private or public schools. TSTET Eligibility Criteria 2024

The Telangana Government Department of School Education has issued the TSTET eligibility requirements and test rules.

Educational Qualifications

The Government of Telangana’s Department of School Education has published certain rules on the TS TET educational requirement. Review the advice below:

  • For candidates who want to teach grades I through V: Candidates for the general category must have earned at least a 50% grade point average in Intermediate or Senior Secondary school (or its equivalent). Applications are accepted from SC/ST/BC/Differently Abled categories with a minimum GPA of 45%.
  • The candidates must have completed a 2-year elementary education diploma, a 4-year bachelor’s degree in elementary education, or a 2-year special education diploma.
  • For candidates who want to teach grades VI through VIII: Candidates for the general category must have received at least a 50% grade in their B.A., B.Sc., or B.Com. The candidate must also have completed a B.Ed. Course.

Paper 1 Educational Qualifications 

The following is a discussion of the required education for the TSTET 2024 Paper 1 exam:

  • Candidates with a 10+2 or equivalent grade point average of 50% are eligible to take this test. The required minimum score for candidates who are OBC, PwD, SC, or ST is 45%.
  • Candidates must hold a two-year Special Education Diploma, a four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), a two-year Elementary Education Diploma, or both. 
  • Candidates must hold a 10+2 diploma from an accredited school or an equivalent degree with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 45%. For applicants who are OBC/PwD or SC/ST, the cut-off in the 10+2 exam remains at 45%.
  • Candidates should possess a four-year B.El.Ed, a two-year elementary education diploma, or a two-year diploma in special education.

Paper 2 Educational Qualifications 

The TSTET Paper 2 educational requirements vary somewhat from the TSTET Paper 1 requirements. The following information on educational requirements has been provided for the TSTET Paper 2 exam:

  • Candidates must have earned a minimum cumulative grade of 50% in their B. Com, BA, or BSc degree.
  • OBC/PWD/SC/ST candidates must receive at least 45% of the total marks. 
  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) specialization in Special Education.

Or,

  • Candidates must have earned a B.Sc., B.Com., or B.A. with a minimum cumulative score of 50%.
  • OBC, PWD, SC, or ST candidates may apply with an overall score of 40%.
  • Applicants require a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) with a concentration in Special Education.

Or,

  • Candidates must have earned at least 50% of their possible points in a four-year BA Ed/BScEd program.
  • Candidates who are OBC, PWD, SC, or ST may apply with a minimum cumulative GPA of 45%.

Or,

  • Candidates must have a degree in literature, a bachelor’s degree in an oriental language or an equivalent, a postgraduate degree in the relevant language, or a degree with language as one of the optional courses.
  • Candidates must have earned a B.Ed. or a Certificate in Language Pandit Training. Only language teachers must meet this requirement

Note: Candidates taking the Bachelor of Education/Diploma in Elementary Education test in their final year are also eligible to apply for the Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test exam in 2024.

Age Limit

There is no upper age restriction for the TSTET 2024 application process in Telangana. For TSTET 2024 Paper 1, applicants must be older than 18.

TSTET Application Fee

Every applicant must pay the same application fee set forth by the authorities. The INR 1000 fee must be paid to appear for one paper and INR 2000 for both papers. They can make payments via online gateways for credit cards, debit cards, UPI, net banking, and other methods. It cannot be refunded

How to Apply for TSTET?

Step 1: TSTET Application Fee  

Candidates must first pay the TSTET 2024 application cost online via TSONLINE or a payment channel by visiting the official page.

How to Edit Application Form?

Guidelines for TSTET Exam Day

TSTET Exam Pattern 2024

The Telangana Department of School Education has established the TSTET Exam Pattern 2024. Two papers—Paper 1 and Paper 2—make up the TSTET exam. Candidates who wish to teach grades 1 through 5 should take the TS TET Paper 1, while those who want to teach grades 6 through 8 should take Paper 2. Candidates who want to teach in the first through eighth grades must show up for both examinations (Paper 1 and Paper 2). For Paper 1 and Paper 2, the TSTET test pattern 2024 is different.
