The NVS (Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti) is an independent institution under the Ministry of Resource Development of the Government of India. It is in charge of recruiting teachers for JNVs (Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya) around the country. NVS has released a recruitment notification for Post Graduate Teachers (PGT), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT), and many more. The total number of vacancies released in 2024 is 18 teacher posts for various disciplines including Hindi, Maths, History, Biology, Sanskrit, and English, and 1377 posts for non-teachers. JNVs are needed in Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal.
The selection process usually consists of a written test and an interview. Candidates who pass the written test will get a call for the interview process. Successful candidates will be hired based on their performance during the interview process. Under normal situations, the NVS conducts a written test or a computer-based test (CBT). This year’s selection is expected to be a written test and interview.

All the eligibility criteria will be mentioned in the official notification of the NVS recruitment 2024. It is not released yet. Here are all the eligibility criteria mentioned below from the previous Navodaya Vidyalaya recruitment process.
For NVS PGT positions, the upper age limit is 40 years, whereas, for TGT positions, the maximum age limit is 35 years. Candidates are given certain extensions based on their categories. The following are the relaxations granted by the recruitment board to certain reserved groups:
To be eligible for the post of TGT, PGT, and FCSA, all candidates applying for the various NVS positions must meet their educational requirements. These jobs require different educational qualifications, which are listed in the table below:

Candidates, who are citizens of India, are eligible for the selection process.
Once the official notification is released by the NVS, candidates can start applying for the posts. All the details regarding the application procedure, relevant documents, application fees, etc. will be mentioned in the official notification. There is no option for fee payment through offline mode. Therefore, aspirants have to pay the fee through the online system only. Application fees can be paid by Net Banking, Credit, or Debit cards. All the candidates must keep in mind that applications received without the application fee will be rejected. No objections to such rejection will be accepted. The fee will not be repaid in any case. It will not be applied to any other exam or selection.

The NVS selection process consists of 2 stages. The first one is a written test/ skill test/ CBT and the second stage is the personal interview. The performance of candidates in the written test/ CBT is very important in the NVS selection process. It is followed by a Personal Interaction/ Interview. The result is based on the performance in both parts of the selection process. Furthermore, the NVS sets the CBT and interview cut-off marks independently. The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti Recruitment selection procedure normally consists of the following stages:
Every year the NVS publishes the results and category-wise cutoff marks for each different post. NVS Results will be published once the NVS 2024 recruitment exam is completed. The cutoff marks will also be declared later. As of now, the recruitment exam for the NVS 2024 recruitment has not been conducted yet.
The NVS Result 2024 will be displayed on the board as a list of successful candidates. The results are published on the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti’s official website every year. After the virtual interview exams, the NVS results for the positions of PGT, TGT, FCSA (Faculty cum System Administration), and others will be released.
The selected candidates will have to appear before the commission for Document Verification when the commission releases the NVS result. Candidates should have all of their key documents ready for document verification well before the announcement of the NVS Result. Only the roll numbers of all the shortlisted candidates will be included in the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti Result.

Every year, after the examination, the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) issues the NVS cut-off marks. The NVS cut-off is the minimum score that candidates must achieve to advance to the next round of selection. It is declared either before or with the NVS result. A. The NVS conducts a recruitment procedure every year to hire teachers for different posts.
A. There are JNVs in different locations all over India. Candidates will be posted in any of the JNVs as per the merit list. Therefore, candidates need to secure better marks in the CBT exam and in the interview to be posted in a desired location.
A. There are two steps in the NVS recruitment procedure. These are CBT or Written tests and personal interviews. An eligible candidate needs to pass through both steps to be selected as a teacher in any of the JNVs all over India.
A. The upper age limit for the NVS PGT posts is 40 years. However, the upper age limit for the TGT and Misc. Category Teacher positions are 35 years old. There is also age relaxation for the candidates who are in the reserved category.
A. The salary ranges are different for different positions in the JNVs after getting selected in the NVS 2024 recruitment procedure. For the PGT teachers, the pay scale is 8 and they will get paid in the range of Rs.47,600 to Rs.1,51,100. However, the pay scale for the TGT teachers is 7 and they will get paid in the range of Rs.44,900 to Rs.1,42,400. Similarly, for the PGT teachers, the pay scale is 7 and they will get paid in the range of Rs.44,900 to Rs.1,42,400.

You need to have a legitimate work permit or be an Indian citizen. The individual job for which you are seeking may have different requirements in terms of schooling. For example, in addition to a B. Ed., teachers must hold a suitable Master’s degree.
