BSPHCL Eligibility

BSPHCL Selection Procedure 2024

Therefore, the BSPHCL selection criteria are based on exams. Furthermore, the selection procedure is conducted in 2 phases.

Prelims Exam

Firstly, BSPHCL conducts the prelims exam. So, the prelims exam is a Computer-Based Test (CBT). However, the marks earned in the prelims are not for final selection. Thus, the Prelims test is merely a screening test to shortlist candidates for the mains exam. Therefore, the prelims are to qualify the applicants for the main exams.

Accordingly, the BSPHCL has also published a syllabus for the various posts on its website. Therefore, each syllabus would vary according to the role. Similarly, the syllabus for the Prelims exam is different from the syllabus of the Mains exam.

Mains Exam

Secondly, the BSPHCL conducts the mains exam. Also, the Mains exam is a computer-based test. So, the Mains exam is held for 2 hours. Also, the format for the mains exam is objective and has multiple-choice questions.

However, if the number of candidates is higher, the prelims are conducted in a ratio of 1:20. Thus, candidates who clear the prelims are qualified for the mains exam.

The final merit list is based on the marks obtained in the mains exams. So, candidates whose names are on the final merit list are qualified for the post. 

For the post of Assistant Executive Engineer (GTO), candidates will be selected based on valid GATE scores.
