India is home to several remarkable forts, seven of which are recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites, here are some forts to look upon.

Amber Fort Rajasthan

Its artistic blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture, the fort is built of red sandstone and marble and overlooks Maota Lake.

Chittorgarh Fort

It symbolizes Rajput valour, with a long history of battles and sieges. It's home to various palaces, gates, and temples.

Kumbhalgarh Fort

Kumbhalgarh is the birthplace of Maharana Pratap, it has been a stronghold for the Rajput kings.

Jaisalmer Fort

It's made of yellow sandstone and rises from the Thar Desert. It houses palaces, temples, and merchant houses.

Gagron Fort

A water-protected fort, surrounded by the Ahu and Kali Sindh rivers, this is an example of a rare combination of hill and water fort construction.

The fort offers panoramic views  of the park and has a history connected to the Chauhan dynasty.
