Every year, the TET 2023 exam is held to assess a candidate’s eligibility for employment as a teacher in a public or private institution. CTET is administered by the Central Government, whilst Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) exams are administered by state governments or agencies (CBSE).

A number of TET 2023 exams, including the CTET 2023, UTET 2023, AP TET 2023, TNTET 2023, REET 2023, HP TET 2023, MAHA TET 2023, and numerous additional state TET exams, are currently being conducted. The UPTET 2023, KARTET 2023, and other TET 2023 exams will take place soon. 

Teaching Exam (TET) 

The TET strives to: 

• Create nationwide criteria and baseline for hiring qualified teachers. 
• Boost student and institution performance standards in educational settings 
• Explain the state’s and the federal government’s emphasis on preserving the standard of instruction. 

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) manages the TET syllabus 2023, maintains the TET database, and advises government organizations on how to carry out the exam. Candidates who have passed the TET are only qualified to work as teachers in public schools and will be sought out for positions such as – 

• Primary Teachers (PRTs) teach in grades I through V  
• Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) teach in grades VI through X  
• Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) teach in grades XI through XII 

The TET exam consists of two parts known as Exam 1 and Exam 2. The State and Central government held all the exams related to the teaching line. Clause (n) of section 2 of the RTE Act explains that one should qualify for the TET (Teacher eligibility test) exam. The qualifications are important for a candidate to be eligible so that, the candidate can become a teacher of any school which holds by a suitable government.

The TET consists of two exams: 

It depends upon the candidate what he/she wants to choose. Level 1 is for those who want to be the primary teacher. The primary teacher teaches from classes 1 to 5. Whereas, level 2 is for those who want to be a secondary teacher. and, the secondary teacher teaches from classes 5 to 8.  

Each exam of any state follows their eligibility, pattern, etc. Paper 1 consists of 100 marks. And, paper 2 is of 120-150 marks. There will be no negative marking. Each question will have +1 or +2 marks. The pattern of paper depends upon the authority that how many marks, questions, or schemes they want to apply. 

Teaching Exam Syllabus 

The teaching exam syllabus depends upon the post you applied for. The syllabus is very easy and is of the syllabus of class 1 to 8 class students. The candidates can approach fir the old books or children books to read.  

TET test 2023 questions will all be multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each worth one mark and offering four options. There are no negative points. The TET syllabus 2023, which is detailed below, will be rigorously adhered to by the examining board. The Teaching exam syllabus is

Types of Teaching Exams 

The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has passed a new law. The new law works for all aspiring candidates to be teachers in schools. This law regulates under the private, government, unaided and aided categories. The NCTE publishes that there should be a minimum qualification of an eligible candidate. After qualifying, the eligible candidates will be appointed as teachers in classes 1 to 8. This rule is published according to the provisions of subsection (1) of section 23 of the right of children to free and compulsory education (RTE) Act, 2009. There are two types of teaching exams. They are:

• Central level 

The exams for candidates to enter the teaching profession are as follows: 

CTET

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) also holds the teaching exam. They conduct the CET exam. The CTET stands for Central Teacher Eligibility Test. In this exam, a candidate is to be eligible to teach in the schools of the Central Government in India. Further, the state government is independent to conduct its own STET ( State Teacher Eligibility Test) or honour CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test). The CTET exam purpose is to provide teachers. The teachers are being provided in the Central government schools. The Central Government schools are such as KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc. Or, the schools have to be under the control of the administration of UT’s of Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu and Andaman and Nicobar Islands and NCT of Delhi. The CTET may also apply to independent private schools, which have the option of taking the test.

CSIR UGC NET

The Single MCQ Examination (Joint CSIR – UGC Test) is held by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi, for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) NET and appointment as a Lecturer (NET). 

The Joint CSIR-UGC Test is held by the CSIR to determine Indian national candidates’ eligibility for the granting of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) NET and for the appointment of Lecturers (NET) in specific subject areas within the Faculty of Science and Technology. The award of a Junior Research Fellowship (NET) to successfully qualified candidates is contingent on their acceptance/placement at a university, national laboratory, or other high-quality institution.  

The CSIR NET test in 2022 will take place from September 16–September 18, 2022. On September 13, 2022, the CSIR NET admit card for that year was made public. The notification sheet for the CSIR NET exam city 2022 has already been made public. The application period for the Joint CSIR UGC NET June 2022 ended on August 17, 2022.

HPTET

The HPTET is supervised by the Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education. The full form of HPTET is the Himachal Pradesh teacher eligibility test. It is a state board exam conducted for hiring teachers of both private and government schools of Himachal Pradesh. The exam holds twice a year. Mainly it comes in June and November. By applying for the HPTET exam, the competitors will be eligible for the TGT, JBT and LT posts. 

The HP TET 2022 June test was held on July 24 and 31, as well as August 7 and 13, 2022, for all eight papers. On July 4, 2022, the HP TET application 2022 came to an end. The HP TET registration 2022 with a late fee was held from July 2 to 4, 2022.

UPTET 

It is also a state-level exam. Its full form is Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test. And, it is supervised by the UP Basic Education Board(UPBEB). The exam performs once a year. It is mainly for the recruitment of primary and upper primary class teachers in schools of UP. UPBEB has already announced the test date for the UPTET 2022 exam.  

The new UPTET admit cards/call letters will be made available on January 12, 2022, in time for the UPTET Exam, which will take place on January 23, 2022.

UPTET Exam Dates 

TNTET

The Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test is for candidates who aspire to become a teacher. The exam provides the role of primary and higher primary teachers in the schools of Tamil Nadu. Applicants who pass the TNTET test will be given an eligibility certificate with a seven-year validity term and will be deemed eligible for teaching positions at the primary and upper primary levels in Tamil Nadu. It is a competitive exam held at the state level to select applicants for teaching positions. TNTET consists of two papers: TNTET Paper I and TNTET Paper-II. 

Paper 1 of the TNTET 2022 exam was scheduled to take place from September 10 to 15, 2022. TNTET exam dates for 2022 will be released soon. TNTET Exam Dates 

BTET 

The exam is been conducted by the Bihar School Education Board (BSEB). BTET full form is Bihar Teachers Eligibility Test. The exam provides the role of primary and upper primary teachers in the Bihar Schools. In BTET examinations, there are two papers for two levels: Paper I is for grades I to V, and Paper II is for classes VI to VII. Passing this test qualifies one to apply for openings or teaching positions at the specified level.

OTET

The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) is a comprehensive state-controlled entrance type test for teacher recruitment in Odisha’s public schools. BSE (Board of Secondary Education), Odisha, is in charge of the event. Students are eligible to take the OTET test if they have completed Class XII or Graduation with the required minimum marks. There are two papers in the Odisha Teaching Eligibility Test [Category A (Paper 1) and Category B (Paper 2)]. Candidates can take either Paper 1 or Paper 2 or both, depending on their qualifications.

JKSET 

The JK SET 2021 exam will be held in November, tentatively. The University of Kashmir will hold the Jammu and Kashmir State Eligibility Test. This test is held once a year at the state level to recruit qualified candidates for Lecturer or Assistant Professor positions. You must hold a UGC-recognized Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% and 50% for reserved categories. You can take the test if you are in your last year of study. If you have a PhD and finished your Master’s degree before September 19, 1991, you will be entitled to a 5% reduction in qualifying exam scores. 

The JK SET/LASET 2021–22 session test admit card has been made available by the University of Jammu. The JK SET admit card 2022 is currently available for download by candidates utilizing the login information on the University-activated link. On July 24, 2022, the JK SET test will be given.

TSTET 

The Department of School Education, Government of Telangana, conducts the Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test (TSTET) to shortlist applicants for recruitment as teachers in Telangana State’s classes I through VIII.  

The Department of School Education, Government of Telangana, issued the TS TET 2022 results on July 1, 2022. Candidates can use the login information to view the TS TET results for 2022. The TS TET OMR Sheet 2022 is now available. On June 12, 2022, the TS TET exam was conducted. The TSTET 2022 exam was given in two sessions for Papers 1 and 2 at various testing centers throughout the state. On April 12, 2022, the TS TET application 2022 was successfully completed.

KSET 

KSET application forms were made available on February 8th, 2022. The application form must be submitted by March 20, 2022, or a late fee will apply. The candidate should check in and take note of the Roll Number generated after two working days have passed since the date of successfully paid fees. 

The University of Mysore administers the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (recognized as the Nodal Agency from UGC, New Delhi). The KSET 2022 test is for Lecturer or Assistant Professor positions. The test will be divided into two parts, each with its own set of questions, all of which will be multiple choice. The University will provide a certificate to the qualifying candidate that will be valid for life. Candidates who pass the KSET test would be able to work as Lecturers/Assistant Professors at Karnataka State Universities/Colleges/Institutions (Government/Aided/Private).

NVS Recruitment 

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, an autonomous agency under the Ministry of Human Resource Development’s Department of School Education and Literacy, recruits TGT, PGT, Lower Division Clerks, Legal Assistants, and other positions. The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti seeks to fill all open positions.  

A written test is used to select candidates for the NVS Recruitment for various positions. Candidates who want to work in the government must apply for the NVS Recruitment.

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has posted a job notice on its official website for open positions, including TGT, PGT, mess helper, etc. Before applying for the NVS Recruitment, candidates are recommended to read the official notice. KTET 

KTET exam is held twice in a year. It is known as Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test. It is conducted by Pareeksha Bhavan in kerala. The authority assess the eligibility of applicants with sufficient abilities. In other words, the applicants must know how to teach in lower primary, upper primary, and high school classrooms in Kerala. The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) of Kerala, as well as the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE)/Department of General Education/Government of Kerala, have established rules for the KTET test. 

The Category 1, 2, 3, and 4 papers for the KTET 2022 test were administered on May 4 and 5, 2022. On February 8, 2022, the KTET 2022 notification was published.

ASRB Recruitment 

Every year, the Agriculture Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB), also known as the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), accepts applications for the ASRB NET, also known as the ICAR NET (Indian Council of Agriculture Research NET). This test is used to hire Lecturers and Assistant Professors at State Agricultural Universities and other Agricultural Universities. 

The ASRB NET 2022 Exam Date will be released, with the exam taking place on August 23rd and 27th, 2022.

The Board of Secondary Examination, Rajasthan conducts the Rajasthan Teachers Eligibility Test (REET)/ Rajasthan Eligibility Exam for Teachers (REET) to select teachers for both government and private schools in the state of Rajasthan. This is a state-level test in which applicants must complete 150 multiple-choice questions in 2 hours and 30 minutes.

KVS Recruitment 

KVS is a Chain of Central Schools. The KVS stands for Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. It is a Indian system of central gov. schools. And, its supervised by Ministry of Education. The KVS cover 1248 schools in India and three overseas, in Moscow, Tehran, and Kathmandu, as of August 2021. In an RTI response, KVS stated that this year’s KVS recruiting will fill about 7,470 teaching positions, with 3324 for PRT, 2793 for TGT, and 1353 for PGT.  

The tentative timeframe is December 2022, and the KVS new exam date will be announced soon.

CGTET 

Candidates who want to apply for teaching positions in Chhattisgarh must take the CG TET, or Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test. The purpose of the CG TET is to verify the candidates’ eligibility. For Paper 1 and Paper 2, the test is held in two shifts. The CG TET Paper 1 is for primary school teachers (grades 1–5), while the CG TET Paper 2 is for secondary school teachers (grades 6–8). The Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MP PEB) administers the Madhya Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (MP TET) to assess candidates’ eligibility for positions as primary, middle, and high school teachers in the state. The MP Primary School TET test is for teachers in grades 1 to 5, the Middle School TET is for teachers in grades 6 to 8, and the High School TET is for teachers in grades 9 to 12.

The full form of HTET is Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test. It is administered or conducted by the BSEH. The BSEH stands for Board of Secondary Education Haryana. The HTET holds many levels of teacher recruitment in their state gov. schools.
