3. DSSSB PGT Eligibility Criteria

If you are interested in applying for PGT position vacancies notified by DSSSB, you have to meet the eligibility criteria mentioned by the board. Nationality, Age limit, and educational qualifications vary for different positions. You should make sure to check them before applying for these positions.

1. Nationality

Candidates applying for any vacancy under the DSSSB should be citizens of India.

2. Age limit

4. DSSSB PGT 2024 Educational qualification

DSSSB specifies the minimum educational qualification for each position under the board. The educational qualification required by PGT aspirants are mentioned below for different positions.

• PGT
  o Master’s Degree in the concerned subjects from a recognized university
  o Degree / Diploma in Training / Education. However, there is an exemption for candidates possessing.
  1. Ph.D. in the concerned subject from a recognized university/ institution
  2. First division in Higher Secondary, Degree and Post Graduate examinations with a mandatory condition that the candidate will acquire a B.Ed. / B.T within 3 years from the date of joining the service.
• Educational and Vocational Guidance Counselor (EVGC)
  o Masters’s Degree in Psychology from a recognized university/ institution with Diploma in guidance and counseling from a recognized university/ institution.

4. DSSSB PGT Exam 2024 Apply Online

To apply online for the DSSSB PGT positions, you must follow the below-mentioned steps.

• Go to the official website
• Click on the “Click for New Registration” button on the home page.
• Enter the subject and move on to the next form.
• Enter the necessary information like name, email ID, mobile number, and category to register with the board.
• An OTP will be sent to your mobile number which has to be verified to create your login password.
• Then use the credentials to log in.
• You will be asked for additional details like address, personal and educational details, etc. Fill them up.
• Upload your scanned passport-size photographs in the dimensions mentioned. You also have to upload scanned copies of the required documents mentioned on the page. You also have to upload a scanned copy of your signature. Upload them in JPEG or PDF format.
• Pay the application fee through SBI e-pay and click on “Submit”.
• Now you can preview your filled-in application forms.

5. DSSSB PGT Application Fee

The application fee for each category is tabulated below. Application fees can be paid only via SBI e-pay. Any other mode of payment will not be accepted.

6. Download DSSSB Admit Card 2024

The admit card for the DSSSB PGT 2024 exam has been released on the official website. Hard copies will not be sent to any candidates. You can only download the admit card from the website and print it. You can use your login credentials, registration number, and date of birth to download the admit card.

The admit card is an important document that has to be carried to the exam center. Along with it, you should also carry a photo id proof. You should keep it safe even after the exam for any future references.

• Go to the board’s official website.
• Click on the DSSSB Admit Card link.
• Enter the application number, date of birth, and the security code visible on the screen.
• Click on the “Generate Admit Card” button.
• Your admit card will be displayed.
• You can download and save the admit card on your device. Take a printout of the admit card before the exam.

If you forgot the application number while downloading the admit card, you can follow the given guidelines to retrieve it.

• Go to the official website.
• Click on the “DSSSB Admit Card” link.
• Click on the “Know your Application number” link available on that page.
• Enter your Date of birth, Class 10 roll number and Class 10 passing year.
• Click on submit. Your application number will be displayed on that screen that has to be retained for future reference.

7. DSSSB PGT Exam Centers Allotted

Exam centers are allotted in almost all major cities in India. You can select your preferred exam center while applying for the exam. But, the decision of the board is final. Your DSSSB PGT Admit Card will have details about your exam center. It is final.

8. DSSSB PGT Exam 2024 Selection Process

The DSSSB PGT Exam is a one-tier exam. It is also subject to change by the board before the examination. The questions will be bilingual (English and Hindi), except for language papers.

The exam comprises Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) from the following areas:

• General Awareness
• Arithmetic and Numerical ability
• General intelligence and Reasoning ability
• English / Hindi Language and Comprehension.

The exam has two sections:

• Section 1: 100 MCQs
• Section 2: 200 MCQs

After the exams, the merit list will be announced. Document verification is the final step in the selection process. You have to produce the document originals on the date mentioned. Failure to do so will lead to rejection.

Once the DSSSB PGT exam 2024 results are announced, you can view the merit list by following these steps.

• Click on the DSSSB PGT Result 2024 link (It will be active once the results are announced).
• Search your roll number/registration number
• If your number is included in the merit list, it means you have successfully cleared the DSSSB PGT exam, 2024.
• You can download, save and print the result for future reference.
