Before filling up the information, ensure that accurate information is fed, for the edit option is limited & on the confirmation, there is no scope for further editing even if a wrongful entry has been made while filling up the application.

(e) Candidates are requested to upload the scanned image of the latest passport size photograph along with the scanned image of his/her full signature and a scanned image of the Left-hand Thumb Impression (LTI) in the online application form.

(f) Candidates should keep at least two copies of the latest passport-size photograph which is uploaded to the online application form for future use.

(g) On successful submission of the online registration, a unique “Permanent Public Service Account Number (PPSAN)” will be assigned to the applicant. Candidates are required to take a printout of the finally submitted online Registration/Re-registration and finally submitted Online Application forms and put his/her signature under the declaration for submission to OPSC along with copies of requisite certificate & documents as and when asked.

(h) The candidates are advised to submit the Online Application Form well in advance without waiting for the closing date to avoid the last-hour rush.

Application Fee  

A candidate is required to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs 400/- (Rupees Four Hundred) only. Candidates who belong to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes of the state of Odisha, and persons with disabilities (whose permanent disability is 40% and more) are exempted from the payment of the above-mentioned fee. 

The candidates can make online payments of applicable examination fee(s) through the OPSC portal. They can use Debit Cards/ Credit Cards/ Net Banking facilities and other financial instruments enlisted in the Payment Page/ Gateway of the Odisha Government Treasury Portal.

Eligibility Criteria

A candidate must be between the ages of 21 (Twenty-One) years and 45 (Forty-Five) years to appear for the examination. 

The candidates who belong to the categories of SCs/STs/SEBC/Women get a relaxation of 5 years. It is relaxable by 10 years for persons with disabilities whose permanent disability is 40% or more. 

Persons with disabilities who belong to the SC/ST/SEBC category get a cumulative age relaxation of 15 years i.e. 10 years under the PWD category and 5 years under the SC/ST/SEBC category. 

A candidate must possess a Master’s Degree or dual Master’s Degree for the post of Assistant Professor (Teacher Education), with at least 55% of marks or its equivalent grade in the concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.

For the candidates who belong to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, SEBC & Persons with Disabilities categories, the requirement of securing at least 55% marks shall be reduced to 50% marks or its equivalent grade.

A candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) meant for Assistant Professor (Stage-1) or must have acquired a PhD degree in the concerned subject from an Indian University or a Foreign University OR NET in Education or PhD in Education.
