SSC altered the selection method two years ago, and now just two-tier exams will be used to shortlist candidates for various Group B and C positions under the SSC CGL Notification 2025. The SSC CGL examination will be administered in four tiers, as shown below:

Tier 1: Computer-Based Examination (qualifying in nature).

Stage 2 Tier-II: Paper I (required for all positions) and Paper II for candidates applying for the position of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.

  • All candidates who successfully applied for the SSC CGL exam will be granted roll numbers and admit cards to the Computer-Based Examination (Tier-I).
  • Candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, for the Tier-II Examination based on their Tier-I scores.
  • Separate cut-offs will be announced for Paper-II of Tier-II (for the position of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO)) and Paper-I of Tier-II (for all other positions).
