CSIR NCL Exam 2024 Application

Interested candidates can apply for the CSIR NCL exam by visiting the official website. The authority releases the application form once or twice a year, depending upon the vacancy.

How to apply for CSIR NCL Recruitment?

To apply for CSIR-NCL recruitment, visit the official NCL website under the “Join Us” section, then select “Job Vacancies.” Read the job advertisement carefully before applying. Eligible candidates can complete the application form online.

The non-refundable application fee is INR 100/-, with fee waivers for SC/ST/PWD/Women/CSIR employees/Abroad applicants. Payments must be made via NEFT to:

After payment, generate a receipt with the UTR/Transaction number and attach it with a printed copy of the application. Ensure the following details are mentioned on the acknowledgment: (i) Name, (ii) Application ID, (iii) Candidate type, (iv) Postal Code.

CSIR NCL Requirements for Online Application

  • Candidates must have a working email ID, soft copies of passport-size photographs, and signatures before applying. The application form will ask you to attach the documents of the same.
  • Scanned images in JPG/JPEG format only.
  • The Aspirant’s Photograph File size must be less than 50 kb.
  • The applicant’s Signature File size must be less than 25 kb.

CSIR NCL Registration Process

  • Candidates applying for the first time must register to the NCL portal through their Email ID. They will receive their activation keys to their respective Email IDs after clicking on the activation key, you will be re-routed to the NCL portal logged-in, and your NCL portal system login ID will be the same as your user ID. However, they can use one ID to apply for more than one job position in NCL.
  • Eventually, candidates later need to pick their desired job position and press “Fill Application” written against the job position. Click on “view” to proceed with filling out the application form.

Application Form Details

  • The application form asks candidates to fill in their contact information and qualifications/ educational details. It should be noted, that these are the mandatory fields. Without the required information, the application form will not be submitted.
  • While filing the educational details, candidates will be requested to convert their CGPA/SGPA/OGPA grades to the percentage. They can do it by the formula presented by the University.
  • If the applicant has acquired relevant experience or additional academic qualifications, he can add all of those in the “Other Qualification”. Also, note that SSC and HSC details will be considered under the category of “Academic Details”, and not under “Other Qualifications”.
  • At last, the candidate is asked to fill in the details from the remitted application fee certificate generated online. Furthermore, the mandatory fields include UTR/ Transaction no., the date of the transaction; Bank account no. of the candidate, etc. to confirm the payment of the application.

Application Fees

The National Chemical Laboratory (CSIR-NCL) mentioned the application fee in the official notification for the recruitment procedure. The application fees for any position are 100/- and are non-refundable. Candidates who belong to the SC / ST / PWD / Women / CSIR Workers category do not need to pay anything.

The candidates need to take a printout of the application fee receipt to have an acknowledgment of the payment. The hard copy will be further helpful to fill in UTR / Transaction no. and other details while filing the application form.

The Age limit of the CSIR-NCL Recruitment exam varies from position to position. Technical AssistantA minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade, in aggregate of all semesters/years, is required in Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor in Technology (B.Tech). It can be under the specialization in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Natural Philosophy Engineering, or Instrumentation Engineering.
Senior Project AssociateA minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade is required for an M. Sc. in Organic Chemistry from a Recognized University. In addition, 04 years of rich experience in research and development in industrial and academic institutions or science and technology organizations in organic/organometallic synthesis. Aspirants with a Doctoral degree in Organic chemistry/Organometallic Chemistry from a recognized university or equivalent grade are also welcomed.
Project Associate IA minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade is required in M.Sc/B. Tech or bachelor’s degree in Engineering. It should be under the specialization in any chemistry branch from a Recognized Institute/University. As per DST Norms, candidates with NET/GATE will be preferred.
Project Associate IIA minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade is required in M.Sc/B. Tech in Biochemistry/ M.Sc in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/ MVSc or Bachelors degree in Engineering. They can be under Technology or Medicine, Biotechnology / Microbiology, or any part of Life Sciences from a recognized University. As per DST Norms, candidates with NET/GATE will be preferred.

CSIR NCL Admit Card 2024 is a document or receipt declaring you are eligible for the CSIR NCL Exam.

  1. First, a candidate needs to go to the official website of CSIR- NCL
  2. Now, the candidate will land on the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research’s official home page.
  3. After that, the candidate must scroll down the webpage and look for the link to download the CSIR NCL position Hall Ticket for the interview exam.
  4. Now, the candidate needs to enter his/ her login details like his/ her registration ID and date of birth. A candidate needs to remember his/ her registration ID is the same as an email ID in the portal.
  5. After that, the candidate must download his/ her CSIR NCL Admit Card 2023 for the interview exam.
  6. The candidate needs to take this Admit Card to the written examination hall.

  • A candidate doesn’t forget to carry his/ her admit card during the exam. His/ her entry will be prohibited without an admit card.

CSIR NCL Exam Pattern

There is no written exam for this CSIR NCL Exam this year. The entire process is divided into three categories. All the aspirants will go through these three processes to get selected for the posts mentioned in the official notification of CSIR NCL. These three steps are mentioned down below.

CSIR NCL – The Selection Process

Candidates must meet the minimum educational qualifications, but meeting these alone does not guarantee an interview. Due to the high volume of applications, the Screening Committee may limit the number of candidates invited, with the Project Leader’s discretion. Preference will be given to those with additional qualifications and relevant experience. Candidates are advised to list all qualifications and experience accurately at the time of application to improve their chances.

CSIR NCL – The Screening Process

The possibility of you getting selected by the screening committee will increase depending on how convincing your qualifications and experience look. The candidates who pass the Selection Process must undergo the Screening Process. The candidates recommended by the Screening Committee to be called for an interview would also be notified on the website of the Divisional Notice Board. This interview will be held by the CSIR NCL later this year. The Selection Committee will call for the shortlisted candidates for an online interview. The link to the online interview will be provided to short-listed candidates via email later this year.

Interview Details

The interview will be conducted when the Selection and Screening Procedures are completed. The interview can be taken in the CSIR NCL, Pune office. Or it may happen through a suitable medium such as Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Cisco WebEx, etc. Candidates who pass the Interview will be selected in the recruitment process. The selected candidates will be contacted directly through email individually. The selected candidates will be requested to join duty immediately as mentioned in the engagement letter issued by CSIR NCL. All the candidates are requested to visit the official website of the CSIR NCL regularly to get all the updates.

CSIR NCL Syllabus

It is expected that the CSIR NCL will take the interview soon. The result will be based on the interview exam conducted among the shortlisted candidates by CSIR NCL. The result and the cut-off marks are notified on the official website of CSIR NCL.

The cut-off marks are different for different categories of students. Therefore, the CSIR NCL will publish the final results and the cut-off marks separately for categories such as General, OBC, SC, ST, PWD, etc.
