What is the difference between UGC NET and CSIR NET?

NTA administers CSIR NET to select candidates for the JRF award and eligibility for assistant professor positions in science-only fields. NTA administers UGC NET to choose candidates for JRF awards and eligibility for assistant professor positions in all other subjects (total of 81).

Which is tough UGC NET or CSIR NET?

The CSIR NET exam is considered to be highly competitive and tough. While studying for the exam, you gain much knowledge and experience, so passing it is not just like having a degree. With others, you can impart your wisdom and experience. Candidates who pass the CSIR NET examination can apply for junior research fellowships and teaching positions. The NET exam is held twice a year, in June and December, by NTA on behalf of UGC. To sit for this exam, candidates must have earned a minimum of 55% on their Master’s degree. Candidates who pass the UGC NET exam are eligible for lecturer positions at IITs and NITs as well as research programs (JRF)

What is the NTA score in CSIR UGC NET?

The overall NTA score represents the proportion of candidates who, in that session, scored EQUAL TO OR BELOW (same or lower raw scores) that specific candidate. It says nothing about your qualifications or lack thereof. Most likely, the cut-off will be the same as last year. But it should be increased by five marks (Not a percentage). According to the CSIR NET answer key, marks will be awarded for accurate responses. This raw score will create the “NTA score” or percentile. All candidates’ scores will be combined to create the final merit list.

When will I get the CSIR NET certificate?
