MPSC Eligibility Criteria

Nationality/Citizenship

To be eligible for the MPSC State Service Exam 2024, candidates must hold Indian citizenship. Physical Eligibility

In the MPSC State Service examination, there are specific posts that have physical qualification requirements. To be eligible for the positions of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP)/Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO), candidates must meet the prescribed Physical Qualifications.

• Male candidates must have a minimum height of 165 cm.
• Female candidates must have a minimum height of 157 cm.

Candidates applying for the following cadres/posts must fulfill the physical measurements/qualifications mentioned below in addition to the above requirements:

How To Register For the Exam 2024?

To register for MPSC, follow the steps outlined below:

MPSC Exam 2024 Pattern

The MPSC recruitment process for 2024 consists of a qualifying Preliminary Examination with 2 papers, followed by a Main Examination with 6 papers. Unlike previous years, there are no optional subjects included in the examination.

The MPSC exam pattern can be summarized as follows:

• MPSC Prelims Exam: This stage comprises 2 papers with a total of 200 marks.
• MPSC Mains Exam: The Main Examination consists of 6 mandatory papers, carrying a total of 800 marks.
• MPSC Interview: The final stage of the selection process is the MPSC Interview, which is conducted for a total of 100 marks.

MPSC Prelims Exam Pattern

The MPSC Prelims Exam for 2024 will consist of a Preliminary Examination with two papers, followed by the Main Examination with six mandatory papers. The Preliminary Examination is recognized as a qualifying round for the Main Examination. Shortly after the Prelims, the MPSC releases the answer key for candidates’ reference. To be eligible for the MPSC Mains examination, candidates must score a minimum of 33% in the Preliminary Examination.

MPSC Mains Exam Pattern

Candidates who secure the minimum cut-off marks, as determined by the Commission, will receive the admit card to appear for the Mains Exam. The following points outline the MPSC Mains Exam pattern:

• Decision-making questions in Paper II do not have a negative marking scheme for incorrect answers.
• In each Mains exam paper, the qualifying marks for both reserved category and general category candidates are 40 marks and 45 marks, respectively.
• All the papers in the Mains Exam are mandatory. A negative mark of 1/4th of a mark for each wrong response is present.
