Qualification
The OTET eligibility standards for Paper 1 and Paper 2 in 2024 are as follows:
OTET Eligibility: Paper-I (Primary Level Teachers for Classes I-V)
- A two-year Elementary Education degree(CT or D.El.Ed.) and a Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least a 50 percent grade average.
- Intermediate (or its equivalent) with at least 45 percent marks and a two-year Certificate in Primary Education are required under the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Process) Regulations, 2002.
- Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with a minimum of 50% grades and a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
- Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% grades and a two-year education diploma (Special Education).
OTET Eligibility: Paper-II (Secondary Level Teachers for Classes VI-VIII)
- Graduation and a two-year elementary education diploma.
- Graduates with at least 50% and a one-year bachelor’s degree in education (B.Ed.)
- Graduation with at least a 45 percent grade point average and a one-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program that meets with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Process) Regulations that are produced regularly in this field.

OTET 2024 Exam Day Guidelines
- Candidates must bring the OTET admit card 2024 to the exam centers.
- For verification, candidates must bring one photo-identity document, a photocopy of it, and a passport photo.
