Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS), also known as digital eye strain, is  a common condition caused by prolonged computer use, here are some of things to know.

CVS typically manifests as eye strain, headaches, blurred vision, dry eyes, neck and shoulder pain.

Spending extended periods in front of computer screens, poor lighting, glare, incorrect viewing distance, and uncorrected vision problems.

Individuals who spend 2 or more hours daily on digital screens  are at higher risk. Other factors include existing vision problems.

CVS can significantly reduce productivity, comfort, and overall well-being. It can also lead to more severe eye problems if left untreated.

Regular breaks from screen time, following the 20-20-20 rule look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds every 20 minutes.

While CVS often resolves with preventive measures, in some cases, prescription glasses, contact lenses, or eye drops may be necessary.
