Alexander's Early Life

Born in 356 BCE in Macedonia,  he was tutored by the philosopher Aristotle and a strategist, influenced  by his father, King Philip II of Macedonia.

After the assassination of his father in 336 BCE, Alexander ascended to the throne of Macedonia at the age  of 20.

Conquest of Persia

Alexander's most famous military campaign began in 334 BCE when he crossed the Hellespont into Asia Minor.

In 326 BCE, Alexander led his army into the Indian subcontinent, where he faced the formidable King Porus  in the Battle of the Hydaspes.

In 323 BCE, at the age of 32, Alexander fell ill and died under mysterious circumstances in Babylon, leaving his empire
