Big changes to driving licenses in India!  From June 1st, take your test at private schools and expect stricter rules for minors and polluters, So here are some things to know.

Test at Private Centers

From June 1st, you can take your driving test at certified private driving schools instead of government RTOs.

The application process is simplified, with specific documents required depending on the license type.

Focus on Environment

The new rules aim to reduce pollution through stricter emission standards and phasing out old government vehicles.

Private Training School

There are new requirements for private training schools, including minimum land size and testing facilities.

No Change to Application

You can still apply for a license online or through your local RTO.

Stricter Penalties

The fines for driving without a  license or minor driving are harsher, including a ₹25,000 fine and vehicle registration cancellation.

Speeding Fines Same

The existing speeding fines between ₹1,000 and ₹2,000 remain unchanged.
